VR Plus Day Passes Now Available

6 February 2017

Presented by Film Victoria, AIDC 2017's brand new VR PLUS day of sessions will explore the intersection of documentary and factual media with the expanding engagement opportunities of VR (virtual reality), AR (augmented reality) and gaming.

Comprising three informative sessions and a networking event, the VR Plus day will highlight future possibilities for documentary VR/AR, provide invaluable insights into crafting immersive factual VR experiences, and identify business strategies for development in a growing field.

Sessions include:
• the VR PLUS KEYNOTE: REVOLUTION OR EVOLUTION?, with US-based VR/AR designer, filmmaker and creator of award-winning docu-game 1979 Revolution, Navid Khonsari;
IMMERSED IN THE STORY, with acclaimed artist and VR innovator Lynette Walworth (Collisions), Oscar Raby of factual VR studio VRTOV, Navid Kohonsari, and Christy Dena.
NORTHERN EXPOSURE, with VRTOV Co-Founder Katy Morrison (BBC’s Easter Rising: Voice of a Rebel) and Melanie Horkan, producer of the Oscar-shortlisted My Enemy, My Brother).

The day will be capped with a networking session exclusive to VR Plus pass-holders, Social Presence, giving attendees the chance to meet and mingle IRL with speakers and documentary VR peers.

A limited number of VR Plus Day Passes are on sale now at the special registration rate of $180 + GST. Don’t delay, as these passes will sell out quickly.
