AIDC 2024 FACTory Pitch Prizes and Mentors Announced

Do you have a unique documentary or series project with global appeal in development? Want to pitch it to a world-class line-up of Australian and international commissioners, sales agents, funders, and distributors?
The early deadline for AIDC 2024’s FACTory International Pitching Forum, proudly presented by VicScreen, is coming up soon, 15 November 2023!
We are pleased to confirm that all projects participating in The FACTory at AIDC 2024 will be in the running for a host of international pitch prizes. Prizes include:
- Two complimentary festival passes to participate in Sheffield DocFest 2024 (Sheffield, UK)
- Two complimentary passes to participate in Hot Docs Industry 2024 (Toronto, Canada)
- Two complimentary passes to participate in Sunny Side of the Doc 2024 (La Rochelle, France)
- Two complimentary passes to participate in Docs by the Sea 2024 (Bali, Indonesia)
- Plus more to be announced!
We are also excited to reveal the first round of exceptional pitch mentors confirmed to work with project teams to prepare them for the FACTory pitch, including: Jane Mote, Editorial Consultant, The Whickers (UK), Zeynep Güzel, Filmmaker, Consultant and Head of Doc Station at Berlinale Talents (Germany) and Gary Byungseok Kam, Founder, Producer & Director, Mirror & Story (South Korea).
Project submissions are now sought across three categories, the Central Showcase for projects in development and production demonstrating strong international potential; the New Talent Showcase for new screen talents presenting their first major work; and the Rough Cut Showcase for projects that need to close financing gaps, and secure sales, distribution and festival opportunities.
The FACTory International Pitching Showcase will take place at The Edge, Fed Square, during AIDC 2024.
