The early deadline for AIDC 2023’s FACTory International Pitching Forum, proudly presented by VicScreen, is coming up very soon, 23 November 2022!

We are pleased to confirm that all projects participating in The FACTory at AIDC 2023 will be in the running for a host of international pitch prizes. Prizes include:

  • Two complimentary festival passes to participate in Sheffield Doc/Fest 2023 (Sheffield, UK)
  • Two complimentary passes to participate in Hot Docs Industry 2023 (Toronto, Canada)
  • Two complimentary passes to participate in Sunny Side of the Doc 2023 (La Rochelle, France)
  • Plus more to be announced!

We are also excited to reveal the first round of exceptional mentors confirmed to work with project teams to prepare them for the FACTory pitch. Mentors include Karolina Lidin, Senior Advisor Documentary, Nordisk TV & Film Fond (Denmark) and Krishan Arora, International Consultant, SBS (UK/Australia), with more to be announced.

Project submissions are now sought across three categories, the Central Showcase for projects in development and production demonstrating strong international potential; the New Talent Showcase for new screen talents presenting their first major work; and the Rough Cut Showcase for projects that need to close financing gaps, and secure sales, distribution and festival opportunities.

Don’t delay, begin your FACTory project application today. Early entries close 23:59 AEDT on Wednesday 23 November 2022. Late submissions accepted until 23:59 AEDT Sunday 27 November 2022 with an additional fee.
