Lay My Body Down wins inaugural Unfinished Prize for Documetary

We are thrilled to announce the winner of the inaugural Unfinished Prize for Documentary – Lay My Body Down (Ghost Pictures), directed by Lynn-Maree Milburn, and produced by Andrew de Groot and Richard Lowenstein.

An “epic tale of passion, fire, fury and survival”, the in-production music documentary will tell the story of singer Chrissy Amphlett and her iconic Australian rock band The Divinyls. 

The project was pitched by Richard Lowenstein in The FACTory International Pitching Forum and will receive $10,000 cash and $40,000 in film advertising from prize partners Wide Open Road Coffee and The Saturday Paper.

Erik Jensen, editor of The Saturday Paper, and Jono Hill, co-founder of of Wide Open Road, presented the Award at AIDC 2018’s Closing Night Happy Hour. Mandy Chang of BBC Storyville and formerly ABC Arts accepted the Award in Richard Lowenstein’s absence.

The Unfinished Prize for Documentary is presented by Wide Open Road Coffee & The Saturday Paper. Supporting new nonfiction screen work.
