These emerging documentary and factual filmmakers will now have the chance to learn directly from established Australian and international industry professionals in exclusive mentorship sessions during AIDC 2016.

This year's Mentors include: Roy Ackerman (UK) Managing Director Non-Scripted Television, Pulse Films, Leanne Pooley (NZ) Documentary Filmmaker, Magnus Temple (UK) Co-Founder and Chief Executive, The Garden, Jeni McMahon (AUS) Development & Investment Manager, Film Victoria, Marc Smerling (US) Producer, Hit The Ground Running, and Maya Newell (AUS) Writer/Director, Marla House.

One ACCESS participant will also be selected for a four-week paid internship with Pulse Films in London, including return economy airfare and accommodation, with the winner to be announced at AIDC 2016’s Closing Drinks on Wednesday 2 March.

"Pulse Films is very proud to offer an int‎ernship to one of the fantastic entrants to the Access Programme. I've been coming to AIDC for many years and think it's one of the great media festivals, attracting the best, enthusiastic emerging talent,” said Roy Ackerman.

“It was a very hard choice. The standard of the applications was truly impressive and I want the unlucky ones to know that they're impressive young story-tellers who will go very far, and I wish them the best of luck in their futures.”

Pulse Films is an independent production company encompassing the development, production, financing and distribution of cross-platform content for audiences worldwide, with headquarters in London and offices in Los Angeles, New York, Paris and Berlin.

ACCESS@AIDC takes place during AIDC 2016, 28 February – 2 March.
