Calling all Queensland-based documentary and factual creatives – are you looking for expert guidance and advice to help bring a nonfiction concept or project closer to reality?
Sign-ups are now open for Regionality Sunshine Coast’s exclusive Doc Chat 1:1 Meetings, taking place during the one-day program on Friday 7 August 2026 at Maroochy RSL.
Guest industry experts will be available to connect with nonfiction screen practitioners from regional and South East Queensland to answer questions, assess project ideas, and provide valuable feedback

New Doc Chat participants just announced include:
- Stephanie King (Impact Director, Documentary Australia)
- Farhad Meher-Homji (Co-Founder / Head of Strategy, Changer Studios)
- Bettina Dalton (Executive Producer / Principal, Wildbear Entertainment)
- Erin Rosenberg (Marketing & Partnerships Executive, DocPlay)
- Louise Hayse (Secretary, Sunshine Coast Screen Collective)
- Dan Munday (Executive Producer / Co-Founder, Sunny Coast Showdown)
They join previously announced decision makers Sally Chesher (Investment & Development Manager, Documentary, Screen Australia), Stephen Oliver (Commissioning Editor, ABC), Danielle Ah Boo (Head of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Unit, Screen Queensland), and Ian Lynch (Content Director, Screen Queensland).
Bethan Arwel-Lewis (Senior Commissioning Editor, SBS) with be joining the line-up replacing previously announced Bernadine Lim for scheduling reasons.

To sign up for Doc Chat 1:1 Meetings and meet with these industry guests, you must be a ticket-holder for Regionality Sunshine Coast 2026.
Get a pass and then head to the Doc Chat sign-up form to nominate up to two meeting preferences. You can apply with a project or just as an individual. (Please note: Early Bird discount prices for Regionality tickets conclude 11:59pm Thursday 25 June, and Doc Chat sign-ups close 11.59pm Monday 27 July)
Doc Chat meetings will take place over two special breakouts during the Regionality Sunshine Coast 2026 program, with full details of all sessions and the schedule for the day to be announced on Wednesday 1 July.
