Gunny majored in architecture initially before transferring to a film major with a Post BA and Masters Degree in America. He has worked mostly in Public TV (most notably EBS Korea) and became one of the founding members of EIDF (EBS International DOC Film Festival) showcasing festival programming through a public TV network. After directing prime time documentary series’, Gunny came back to the EIDF and also launched the documentary industry platform EIDF Industry & K-DOCS. EIDF INDUSTRY PITCH has supported more than 50 documentary and factual projects for both the Korean & Asia-Pacific regions.

EIDF combines film festival programming with Public TV broadcast with EBS Korea. EIDF selects a number of brand new documentary films for the festival, which may also be invited to be broadcast on Terrestrial TV, acquiring both festival rights and broadcast rights from those films.
