INDIGENOUS CREATORS PROGRAM: WHEEL OF YARNS
Indigenous
Moderated by Narelda Jacobs, OAM, we're turning the tables on the pitch format and putting First Nations broadcasters and screen agencies in the hot seat: they'll receive a random topic with just three minutes to prep before pitching their ideas to a panel of judges made up of discerning producers.
First Nations practitioners only.
Turning the tables on the pitch format, commissioning editors from two of Australia’s largest Indigenous broadcasters – Kelrick Martin (ABC Indigenous) and Joseph Meldrum (NITV) – join Samual Paynter (Screen Australia – First Nations Department) and TVNZ’s Summer Wharekawa to battle it out during this ICP session.
They will have just three minutes to prepare and pitch new project ideas to a panel of judges made up of discerning producers.
Moderated by Whadjuk Noongar journalist, presenter and commentator, Narelda Jacobs OAM – join us to find out how the decision makers fare in the hot seat when the tables are turned and they are given mere minutes to shape and deliver an elevator pitch chosen at random? Featuring producers and former pitchers, the judges in turn will reveal all about how they dream up, develop, pitch, and secure commissions.
First Nations practitioners only.
