Tait has worked within the Australian film industry for more than 35 years, developing a unique skillset that embraces production, creative development, distribution, marketing and curation.

Tait is both a Producer (The Acme Film Company) and a distributor (Label Distribution).

Previously Tait has had roles leading Palace Films, managed cinemas, was director of the Melbourne International Film Festival for 9 years, and a senior executive at FFC Australia & Screen Australia.

Established in 2014, Label specialises in Australian projects, including many feature docs. Recent theatrical releases released by Label and executive produced by Tait include The Family, Brother’s Nest, I’m Wanita, Suzi Q, Hounds of Love, Defend Conserve Project, The BBQ, Lone Wolf, Deepsea Challenge and Love in Bright Landscapes.

Over the last 11 years Tait has produced or executive produced 12 projects, including the feature films Healing, The BBQ, Brother’s Nest, I Met a Girl, A Guide to Dating at the End of the World, and feature docs Suzi Q, Defend Conserve Protect, I’m Wanita, and Love in Bright Landscapes.

His films have played major festivals (SXSW, Cannes, Seattle, Montreal, DOC NYC, Melbourne, Sydney and more) and been sold to multiple territories.
