As a Wurundjeri, Dja Dja Wurrung, and Ngurai Illum-Wurrung woman, Stacie is a curator, dancer, cultural leader, and mentor. Her work goes beyond roles—she honours Country through action, stewards story with integrity, and creates space for truth-telling and First Nations visibility.
From her involvement with the Djirri Djirri Women’s Dance Group, five years as Chair of the Victorian NAIDOC Committee, to public speaking for the Wurundjeri Land Council and her role at the Victorian Indigenous Research Centre, she carries a legacy of cultural leadership and responsibility. In 2025 Stacie was one of 5 Commissioned Practitioners for Yirramboi Festival, where she developed and directed her short film ‘Banj ba Wolert’ a story of the Possum Skin Drum and her Elder Vicki Nicholson-Brown.
Stacie is a Senior Global Fellow for the Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity, following completion of her Masters Degree, where her work spans continents but always returns to her roots in Narrm. Stacie’s voice is gently rebellious and her vision is rooted in truth-telling and a future where First Nations knowledges are honoured, evolving and celebrated.
