She is an avid doc-lover and screen industry professional with extensive experience across film festival programming, international sales, distribution, global marketplaces and funding both within Australia and overseas. Her previous industry roles include Program Director at the Human Rights Arts and Film Festival, Sales & Acquisitions Manager at Danish international sales agent LevelK, Sales Manager at Australian independent distributor Umbrella and most recently Industry Manager at the Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC). Lauren has also participated in many local and international professional programs including tutoring at the prestigious Dok.incubator (Czechia), selected as part of the ‘Rising Stars of Nordic Sales and Distributors’ at the Helsinki International Film Festival (Finland), member of the Danish Film Academy (Denmark), assessor for the Doc Society Climate Story Fund (UK), pitch moderator at Sunny Side of the Doc (France) and regularly moderates documentary film screenings and panel events across Australia.
