Kieran Satour is a Gurindji/Malngin, Pertame Arrernte & Worimi filmmaker who draws inspiration from his ancestral heritage to produce documentary films that hold depth, sensitivity and meaning.

Kieran’s films celebrate the beauty, strength and resilience of Indigenous peoples in the face of adversity of colonisation. NGURRAWAANA (Aesthetica Film Festival 2023) was the winner of the 2023 Monster Children Short Film Awards. After winning the award, Kieran travelled to Aotearoa to direct MAHIKA KAI (Māoriland Film Festival 2024), taking out the Best Short-Form Documentary at Australian International Documentary Conference, 2025.

Kieran was a director and executive producer of We Are Warriors: Through The Fire, which was awarded a Bronze Lion at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in 2023. Kieran most recently directed The Truth About the Telegraph (Winner Best First Nations Film, Underdog FF, Beyond Borders FF 2025, Flickerfest 2026) which unpacks the complex histories of the Overland Telegraph Line.

Kieran is the co-founder of 100% Aboriginal owned and operated production company GARUWA and the co-founder of Indigitek, a not-for-profit organisation established to increase the success and participation of Indigenous people in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths).
