Her experience working on reality programs, factual entertainment and documentaries has allowed her to work across all stages of development, production and post production. Most recently Jo has been series producer on documentaries including The Swap, The Hospital: In the Deep End and The Secret DNA of Us for SBS and Miriam Margolyes Impossibly Australian for ABC/BBC which was awarded an AACTA in 2025 for Best Documentary or Factual Program.
She crafted her art in the UK, working on many factual entertainment formats, including House of Tiny Tearaways, Hells Kitchen, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and Big Brother to name a few. Since moving to Australia in 2010, Jo has directed most of the top rating reality formats including Masterchef, So you Think You can Dance, House Rules, Australia’s Next Top Model, Celebrity Apprentice, The Bachelor, Child Genius and SAS Australia. In 2014, Jo was presented with an AACTA for Best Direction in a reality/entertainment series for Hamish and Andy’s Gap Year Asia.
