She develops and produces premium documentary, factual and scripted series distinguished by strong cinematic craft and global social relevance. Prior to founding Our Story, Jane worked in the UK and was a long-time producer with one of New Zealand’s most established production companies, Gibson Group.

Her recent and current projects include the NZ Film Commission–funded feature documentary The Gate (WT) (dir. Zöe McIntosh), the Sky/Warner Bros. Discovery–commissioned premium documentary series Killer Whale: The Disappearance of Alysha Hanin (dir. Ursula Williams), and the single documentary The Prepper Next Door for TVNZ’s Documentary strand.

Jane has presented projects at AIDC, IDFA, DOK Leipzig, MIPCOM, Cannes and Doc Edge. She is a long-standing member of WIFT and SPADA and has previously served on the SPADA board.

The company’s slate spans true crime, character-driven documentaries, observational series and authored screen storytelling, created for both local and international audiences in partnership with leading broadcasters, platforms and funding agencies.

Current projects include a major premium documentary series, an international feature documentary in post-production, a single documentary for TVNZ,  Australia-New Zealand scripted comedy-drama series, and a much-loved children’s classic currently being adapted as an animated series.
