Company Bio

The Whickers were created in 2015 to fund and support emerging Film, TV and Audio documentary talent across the globe in the spirit of pioneering British journalist and broadcaster Alan Whicker ( August 1921 – July 2013) with whom Jane worked in the nineties. Their top funding award  is for £100,000 for a first time director of a documentary feature in development of more than 50 minutes. The Whickers also fund ‘seeding’ bursaries in parts of the world where funding is scarce and podcasting awards which are open to all.
