He was General Manager of First Nations Media Australia, formerly Indigenous Remote Communications Association, from 2012 to early 2020. He was previously General Manager of Ngaanyatjarra Media from 2001-2010, supporting media and communications programs in 15 remote communities in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands of WA. In 2015, Daniel completed a Research PhD on evaluation and policy development of Indigenous media and communications. His specialist areas include community broadcasting, cultural heritage, community-managed archiving and remote area communications and digital inclusion.
