Christy Dena (pronounced “Deena,” she/they) is a writer-designer-director of multi-artform and interactive projects, and independent educator & researcher.

Christy has worked on installations, Apps, live games, VR, ARGs, films and TV shows. She has won interactive writing awards from the Australian Writers’ Guild, and WA Premier’s Book Awards for her original works. She has mentored, given keynotes, and runs labs around the world for interdisciplinary artists working in the fringes. She supervises Artistic Fellows at the CEFIMA, Norwegian Film School, and teaches interactive storytelling at Griffith University. Christy is currently writing a book on redesigning narrative design away from complicity, an accessible VR project about radical friendship, and a co-operative improv storytelling card game. Christy creates on/with unceded Boonwrrung Country.
