Doc Passport: Pathways for Australian Films to Go Global

Learn how to create and craft stories that appeal to international markets

Join us for this inspiring end-of-the-day session where we explore the exciting potential pathways for local stories to go global!

Learn how to create and craft stories that can appeal to international markets as we look at two specific case studies of Australian documentaries that have made it big overseas, through very different pathways: the Screen Queensland-supported Hating Peter Tatchell (pictured) and Gold Coast Film Festival Opening Night film Valerie Taylor: Playing with Sharks.

Here we will talk to leading producers from Queensland production company Wildbear Entertainment and their international partners involved in taking Australian nonfiction stories to massive global audiences.

Speakers: Veronica Fury (Wildbear Entertainment), Oli Harbottle (Dogwoof), Bettina Dalton (Wildbear Entertainment), Christopher Amos (Chrysaor Productions)

Moderator: Lauren Valmadre (AIDC)
