Craft Join series creators of Couples Therapy, The Matchmakers and Better Date than Never as they delve into crafting sex, love and dating shows with dignity and care.

Long the domain of reality TV, sex, love and dating are now firmly in the documentary lens.

Series like Couples Therapy and Love on the Spectrum are engaging audiences locally and internationally. So why are we so in love with love right now? What are the magic ingredients for broad appeal? Where is the line between producing documentary vs reality?

Finding and creating compelling real-life love stories comes with great responsibility and in this session led by Sarah Thornton (Head of Popular Factual at Network 10 for Paramount ANZ), the creators of Couples Therapy (Paramount+), The Matchmakers (SBS) and Better Date than Never (ABC) discuss how to do so with dignity, heart and honesty. They will also explore what cuts through a crowded landscape and what they do differently to engage participants with care, while engaging, entertaining, and remaining relevant for broad audiences.
