In this session, Tom Brisley, from Arrow Media, one of the most innovative and creative factual producers in the UK, will share his experiences so Australian creatives can reap the benefits. He’ll discuss the best ways to get a factual commission, how to build contacts and crack factual markets, how to generate innovative ideas and how best to tell factual stories.
Using clips from throughout his career, Tom will present case studies – from sizzle reels through to commissioning – to share the inside running on the whole process. Tom also recently produced the stunning feature length documentary Under The Wire, about legendary war-correspondent Marie Colvin which is currently doing really well on the festival circuit.
