Zoë Coombs Marr (Australia)
Writer & Comedian
Independent

Zoë Coombs Marr is a performer, writer, artist and comedian.

She grew up in Grafton, where she and her best friend staged a musical instead of going to schoolies week.

In 2020 her comedy show Bossy Bottom was filmed and internationally released on Amazon Prime Video. Since filming her Amazon special, Zoë squeezed in a flying visit to support Hannah Gadsby in San Francisco and Los Angeles for her Netflix taping, performed Bossy Bottom in LA, debuted a new show Agony! Misery! in Perth and Brisbane, co-hosted Sydney Mardi Gras for SBS and created new works in iso for the Stan Comedy Lockdown series and Melbourne Fringe’s VCR Fest. Phew.

Zoë has most recently appeared as a regular on The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, and as a guest on the latest season of Spicks & Specks.

Zoë’s first foray into factual content is the forthcoming Queerstralia doco series for the ABC. In the series Zoë wipes away the straight-washing to look into the untold and frankly fascinating Queer (LGBTQI+) history of Australia, a place of gay Diggers, lesbian convict gangs, trans entrepreneurs and cross-dressing bushrangers.
