Paul Goldman is the director of EGO: The Michael Gudinski Story, telling the wild ride of entrepreneur Michael Gudinski, who revolutionised the Australian music industry over five decades.

Paul Goldman’s highly awarded feature films, as a director, include Australian Rules (Official Selection Sundance; AFI Best Adapted Screenplay), Suburban Mayhem (Un Certain Regard Selection, Cannes; TIFF, Vanguard Selection 2006; MIFF Closing Night), the controversial documentary Such is Life: The Troubled Times of Ben Cousins, which screened over two nights on the Seven Network in 2010 and The Diplomat, The Artist & The Suit – The Story of Denton, Corker, Marshall; a documentary about the men behind Australia’s most internationally acclaimed architectural firm. Commissioned by the ABC and screened in 2015.

His strong visual aesthetic is also reflected in his work as the director/DP on over 200 Australian and international award-winning music videos and concert films and as DP on John Hillcoat’s feature film Ghosts. . . Of the Civil Dead.

Paul’s most recent feature film, Kid Snow, filmed in Kalgoorlie, W.A., is due for its international theatrical release in early 2024.
