Laura Nagy is a writer, director, and story producer of film and audio.

Currently the development producer at Sony Pictures Television’s Curio Pictures, she previously spent five years at Easy Tiger Productions, most recently as Head of Development, where she oversaw the development slate and created, wrote and hosted the Audible Original podcast Pillow Talk, an 8 x 40 min memoir series and winner of the 2022 Rose d’Or Award for best audio entertainment, and the Australian Podcast Award for Best Sex and Relationships Podcast.

Her short drama Hook Up was funded by the Melbourne Queer Film Festival’s inaugural short film fund and was the winner of the Film Victoria Award for Best Director, while Bodies was funded by Screen NSW’s generator: emerging filmmaker’s fund in 2017. In 2018, Laura was a recipient of Screen NSW’s SheDirects.

Laura has extensive experience as an assistant director, having worked on such films as The Great Gatsby (Village Roadshow), The Wolverine (Marvel), Peter Rabbit (Columbia Pictures/Sony Pictures), Pacific Rim: Uprising (Universal Pictures), Unbroken (Universal Pictures), Gods of Egypt (Summit Entertainment); and TV series Top of The Lake: China Girl (BBC), Wonderland (Ten), and Redfern Now (ABC).
