Jennie Hughes joined Screen Territory in August 2018.

Jennie has lead the roll-out of stimulus programs and the delivery of the Screen Industry Development Plan 2018-2020 including the NT’s largest investment in locally produced children’s series MaveriX for the ABC and Netflix. She also launched the $1.480 mill Enterprise Program, implemented Reel Scout and was key in establishing the “Centralised” joint initiative with SAFC, Screen Australia, ABC, NITV, AFTRS and Documentary Australia Foundation.

Jennie has previously held the roles of CEO New York Film Academy; COO Screen Queensland Festival Director, Brisbane International Film Festival; Executive Director – Open Channel; Head of Programming Ovation Channel and Executive VP Macquarie Filmed Investments where she managed three funds totalling $65.2 million which was subsequently invested in $100 million of Australian screen production.

Jennie was Paramount Pictures’ licensing agent and Executive Producer of award-winning feature films “Gettin’ Square” and “Dirty Deeds”. She has participated in screen industry reviews and was appointed by the Australian Government as Chair of their Investment Committee, Strategic Industry Leaders Group on Digital Content.

Jennie is a former Chair of the SBS Gender Equality Group and former Board member of the Australian Film Institute/AACTA and the Central Coast Arts Centre.
