Zuckerman graduated from McGill University’s film program in Montreal, Quebec and joined the NFB to make her first documentary, the award-winning Half the Kindom which toured film festivals around the world.

She continued her education studying producing and directing at Columbia University’s summer program in New York; Writer’s workshop at the Script Factory, London and Director’s workshop, Director’s Guild of Canada.

Films include: Exposure: Environmental Links to Breast Cancer, a Documentary with Singer/actor Olivia Newton-John; a Canada/ New Zealand Feature Co-Production Punch Me in The Stomach; the Gemini Nominated Dramatic Series; The Atwood Stories and Several Short Films.

Recent Films Include: A Feature Documentary We Are Here and A Short Drama, Mr. Bernstein winner of Won Best Drama at The Toronto International Short Film Festival.

In Addition to Be a Proud Member of Film Fatales Canada, Zuckerman Is Also Member of The Independent Film Project, New York; Directors Guild of Canada; Has Served as A Jury Member for The Ontario Arts Council, Media Arts Program; a Jury Chair for A Gemini Awards at The Academy of Film and Television and An Early Member of Femmes Du Cinema De La Télévision Et La Vidéo a Montréal.

Zuckerman Just Completed Her Feature Documentary After Munich and In Development with Eone on A Television Series Based on The Celebrated Writer Margaret Atwood’s First Novel The Edible Woman; Two Feature Documentaries, an Austrian-Canada Co-Production The Viennese Letter and A Dutch – Canada Co Production, Silent House.

Zuckerman’s company Z FILMS INC. has produced a wide range of films and television programs with an emphasis on adaptation from fiction and theatre, social documentary and performing arts.

As producer and director, Zuckerman has won numerous awards and her work has been recognized at film festivals around the world.

They has just completed her feature documentary After Munich about the aftermath of the Munich Olympic massacre of eleven Israeli athletes in 1972 and how four women’s lives are changed forever. In development on two documentaries The Viennese Letter about two Viennese lovers separated by World War II, forgotten by time and separated by an ocean and one modern woman’s attempt to give them a voice again and Silent House set during pre-and-post-revolutionary Iran, a story of how a house in Tehran becomes the central landmark during the revolution and how three generations of women struggle for liberation after the ousting of the Shah. They are also in development on and a dramatic tv series with Eone based on the celebrated writer Margaret Atwood’s first novel The Edible Woman.
