His experience encompasses a breadth of development/production programs as well as initiatives designed to advance concepts, elevate talent and build business. In 2017 Cieron departed Screen Queensland as Vice President of Development and Production supporting the creative and commercial outcomes of a diverse range of content. Cieron has supported a range of award-winning projects with some of Australia’s and the world’s most recognised market players and talent.
As Commissioning Editor for NITV Cieron works closely with Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people alongside the broader screen sector to elevate compelling Indigenous perspectives that inform, educate and entertain.

Content that is bold, brave storytelling from Indigenous filmmakers and Indigenous production companies that creates and shares unique stories to inspire, instil pride and encourage a greater understanding of Indigenous people and culture. Strong narratives that capture and celebrate Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island culture, experience and perspectives is central to Commissions’ purpose and Cieron may also explore global Indigenous concepts with co-production or cross-over potential.
Concepts must be relevant to Australian Indigenous audiences and have a compelling and natural capacity to include Australian Indigenous perspectives and key creatives.
Primarily Cieron is seeking to meet experienced Indigenous producers, writers and directors with a background in broadcast, particularly in co-production and international co-production and documentary.
