Christine Kecher is the senior commissioning editor for Op-Docs, The New York Times' series of short documentaries by independent filmmakers.

Recent Op-Docs include 2022 IDFA winner Away, 2022 Oscar® winner The Queen of Basketball, 2021 Oscar® nominee A Concerto Is a Conversation, and Sundance 2021 award winner Don’t Go Tellin’ Your Momma. Prior to joining Op-Docs, she worked for A&E IndieFilms on features and shorts including Carol Dysinger’s Oscar-winning Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (if you’re a girl), Matthew Heineman’s Cartel Land, Werner Herzog’s Meeting Gorbachev, Roger Ross Williams’ Life, Animated, and many more.
