Stranger than Fiction

Blayke Hoffman is a Writer / Producer who has worked in Australia, North America and Europe.

Harley & Katya is Blayke Hoffman’s first feature-length work as an independent writer/producer. She partnered with Stranger than Fiction Films and was the person who drove it from beginning to end.

Blayke recently returned to Australia from Los Angeles, where she produced on two seasons of the Netflix Original 72 Dangerous Animals, a documentary on prolific songwriter Poo Bear, and the prime-time television special Stand Up 2 Cancer. Since returning she produced the documentary The Other Side of Fear, about big-wave surfer Mark Mathews, and helped develop and finance the feature film 6 Festivals.

Blayke started out in fiction, firstly as part of the commissioning team at SBS Independent then at Network Ten. When Ten promoted her to produce the music show Video Hits it was the dream job for someone of her age, and she had an exciting time travelling the world interviewing artists from Adele to Lady Gaga and Alicia Keys.

When she moved on, it was to the award-winning, global media company Red Bull Media House where she helped launch Red Bull TV with a slate of long and short form programming focused on beyond-the-ordinary stories in the world of sport and culture.
