She graduated from All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography, Vadim Yusov’s workshop in 2011. Her selected filmography includes the documentaries, Pipeline (2013), Under the Sun (2015), Naked Life (2016), The Choice (2016), Putin’s Witnesses (2018), Where is Matrena (2019) and Gorbachev. Heaven (2020).

Ivanova captured the daring and breathtaking rescue scene of “Anya” in David France’s Welcome to Chechnya (2020).
