Have an XR documentary project you want to make a reality? Ready for some international mentoring? The new AIDC 2020 Meet Your Maker XR Pitch has arrived.
The Meet Your Maker XR pitch is an event like no other, purpose-built for nonfiction creators working in the XR sector to make meaningful connections with decision makers from Australia and around the world.
This year, AIDC is introducing its first-ever competitive XR pitching forum, where up to four projects will be selected to pitch publicly as part of AIDC’s Innovation Day.
An umbrella category that covers various forms of computer-altered reality, including Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), and Virtual Reality (VR), the XR pitch is designed to provide project exposure to key players such as international decision makers, state and federal funding agencies, museums, film festivals and more.
A panel of experts from across the industry will provide feedback on how to take projects to the next level, with the potential of sealing deals in financing, distribution and exhibition.
The Meet Your Maker: XR Pitch will take place on Sunday 1 March during AIDC 2020 at State Library Victoria, Melbourne, Australia.
Get your head in the game with mentoring from industry professionals. In addition to taking the stage at AIDC 2020, the four selected projects will each be given the opportunity to take part in one-on-one mentoring sessions with award-winning international experts working in the XR space:

“RONE WAS BORN OUT OF AIDC AND THE CONFERENCE WAS LATER INSTRUMENTAL IN MAKING CONNECTIONS THAT HELPED PROPEL THE PROJECT TO FESTIVALS AND MARKETS AROUND THE WORLD. THE FEEDBACK WE RECEIVED WHEN PITCHING THE PROJECT IN ITS EARLY STAGES HELPED TO SHAPE THE FILM INTO WHAT IT IS TODAY.”
