Indigenous Creators Program Session One: Pitching

Business - Indigenous only Learn how to make your documentary film pitch stand out with two award-winning filmmakers turned Decision Makers, Kelrick Martin and Douglas Watkin.

Start AIDC off on the right foot with an immersive session into the art of pitching with Douglas Watkin (VP, Content – Indigenous Stories & Talent). With a background in directing, he will step through his personal insights and experiences in crafting a compelling pitch. This session is designed to provide delegates everything they need to make the most local and international market and networking opportunities at AIDC and beyond.

++ This first session of the program takes place off-site at ACMI-X, a five minute walk from the conference centre. Delegates can meet at AIDC registration (ACMI, Federation Square) at 16:15 , to be escorted to this venue. We will also have someone stationed at ACMI X for delegates who would prefer to go straight to the venue.

The Indigenous Creators Program is a series of four sessions that are available to all Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander practitioners registered to attend AIDC with an All Access Pass or Focus Pass. These sessions are optional and will be closed to media and non-Indigenous identifying practitioners.
