Events & Parties The AIDC Awards Presentation celebrates the outstanding talent in our industry as we announce the winners of the 2026 AIDC Awards, the Southern Light Award, and AIDC 2026 initiative and pitch recipients.
Now in its sixth year, the AIDC Awards recognise outstanding works of new Australian documentary and factual content.
Join us for the final session of AIDC 2026, where the talent and expertise of Australian practitioners will be celebrated across six award categories, including Best Feature Documentary, Best Documentary/Factual Series, Best Documentary/Factual Single, Best Audio Documentary and Best Interactive/Immersive Documentary.
We will also present the winner of the 2026 Southern Light Award and will announce the recipients of the FACTory International Pitching Showcase prizes, The Post Lounge Group Doc Pitch, the DocPlay Indie Booster, the Shark Island Foundation Feature Docs Pitch prizes, and the AIDC Indigenous Creators Pitch prize.
