AIDC 2026 EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FORM

AIDC is now seeking expressions of interest for the 2026 conference program, and we would love to hear from you!

Whether you have a documentary or factual project, an idea for a session, a dream speaker to suggest – or you’d like to take part as a speaker, moderator, or session producer – this is your chance. 

Don’t worry if your idea isn’t fully formed, we still want to hear your thoughts.

As a prompt, some of the areas AIDC is interested in exploring include:

  • Sustainability, viability and wellbeing of the sector 
  • Deep dives into bold and courageous new nonfiction projects
  • Sharing paths to financing and distributing documentary and factual projects
  • Craft and business of First Nations stories and storytellers 
  • Ideas for upskilling, capacity-building, and field-building in the sector
  • Ground-breaking innovations across nonfiction craft, platforms, and technology
  • Industry state of play, e.g. policy and reform

Submissions close 11.59pm AEST Sunday 12 October 2025.
