"The best gathering of the Australian factual industry"
"AIDC is great for education and professional development"
"The AIDC provides a whole range of new possibilities, opportunities, ideas and resources through bringing together the industry - the broadcasters, the producers, and the support organisations."
Internationally renowned, AIDC attracts delegates and speakers from around Australia and overseas.
The conference offers the full range of participants in the factual film and broadcasting industry the opportunity to meet, network and be exposed to industry best practice from Australia and overseas. In addition, masterclasses and forums raise and explore current challenges and showcase work.
In 2009 Adelaide played host to this intensive three-day event which saw over 500 national and international delegates converge on the city.
The 2009 Theme Who’s Watching?, spotlighted the role of the audience, with various sessions, masterclasses and discussion panels investigating the questions of who, how, when and where factual media content is consumed.
The 2009 program had two additional themed program strands:
- The Art and Craft of Documentary Making
- Serious Gaming and Interactive Content
Taking place at the Hilton Adelaide, the conference is supported by state of the art facilities and technical support.
It facilitates extensive market opportunities through pitch competitions and other market place initiatives.
If you are involved in the factual content industry, the Australia International Documentary Conference is a must attend event every February.
